L’UMR BDR collabore avec plusieurs unités des départements de Physiologie animale et Systèmes d’élevage et AlimH pour le développement de projets collaboratifs:

BREED a également noué des collaborations sur le campus de Jouy-en-Josas, au travers de projets scientifiques principalement avec l’UMR Génétique Animale et Biologie Intégrative (GABI), l’unité NeuroBiologie de l'Olfaction (NBO), l’unité Mathématiques et informatique appliquée du génome à l'environnement (MaIAGE), et Microbiologie de l'alimentation au service de la santé humaine (MICALIS).

Elle bénéficie de différentes plateformes du site, en particulier MIMA2 - Microscopie et imagerie des micro-organismes, animaux et aliments, @bridge - Animal Biological Resources for Integrated and Digital Genomics, PAPPSO - Plateforme d'Analyse Protéomique de Paris Sud-Ouest et MIGALE - Plateforme de bioinformatique.

Inversement, elle ouvre ses plateaux techniques et plateformes à une large communauté.

Pour mener à bien ses projets, l’UMR BREED fait appel à plusieurs unités expérimentales qui conduisent les expérimentations sur les rongeurs (IERP, Jouy), le lapin (UCEA, Jouy), les espèces bovine (UCEA Bressonvilliers, PAO Nouzilly, IE de production laitière Méjussaume, domaine expérimental du Pin), ovine, caprine, porcine (UE de Bourges, unité expérimentale porcine rennaise), et le cheval (PAO Nouzilly et IFCE, Station Expérimentale de la Valade, Chamberet).

Sigenae, UR875 Biométrie et Intelligence Artificielle, Castanet-Tolosan, apporte un soutien en matière d’analyses bio-informatiques des différents jeux de données (RNAseq, Chipseq, RRBS, etc..) produits par les différents projets menés dans l’unité.
