GABI is a partner of the European netwok PiGutNet

On September 17 2015, GABI, at the Jouy-en-Josas INRA Research Center, welcomed about thirty scientists of eleven different nationalities.

The GABI research unit is a partner of the European network, PiGutNet (COST Action FA1401):  the European network focused on the factors affecting the gastro-intestinal microbial balance and their impact on the health status of pigs.

The Genetics Immunity Health (GIS) team of GABI is co-coordinator of the WG2 working group which is interested in studies on the genetic and environmental factors implicated in dysbiosis and their interactions (epigenetics), in partnership with the Animal Science Department of Aarhus University of Denmark (Dr Charlotte Lauridsen), .

On September 17 2015, the unit welcomed on the Jouy-en-Josas Research Center, approximately thirty scientists of 11 different nationalities implicated in the WG2. This was an opportunity for exchanging with INRA specialists of human intestinal microbiota (MICALIS, MetaGenoPolis).

The PiGutNet network, coordinated by Dr Paolo Trevisi (University of Bologna, Italy), includes partners from 20 European countries and 4 non-European countries. It was kicked-off in March 2015 for a period of 4 years.
