INRAE annual mobility campaign

INRAE annual mobility campaign: discover the positions open at GABI!

You are an INRAE employee or, more generally, a civil servant or have a permanent contract under public law in one of the three civil services (with at least 3 years' seniority). Do you want to evolve in your missions and take up new challenges? With us, you will develop useful and beautiful research projects.

We welcome three future colleagues (an IR, an IE and a TR). In an area rich in jobs, you will find the attraction of the countryside in the heart of the magnificent Bièvre Valley, but also the proximity of Paris.

Come and join a dynamic team, in which we will welcome you, integrate you and train you.

This program offers a wide range of mobility opportunities by displaying a large number of needs that can be filled, thus promoting diversity of career paths within the Institute: the job profiles proposed include a description of the missions and activities expected, as well as the geographic assignment.

It is open to all civil servants and permanent employees of the three public services with at least 3 years of seniority in their current assignment. Mobility to INRAE is done with equivalent bodies.

For researchers, mobility is based on research themes. Once the mobility is decided, they will be asked to build, in collaboration with their unit director, a precise and complementary research project defining the work to be done

2022 Calendar
- Registration opens: July 19, 2022
- Closing of registrations: September 12, 2022
- Arbitration of the Board of Directors on the selected priorities: October 24, 2022
- Deadline for the return of job acceptances: November 14, 2022
- Starting date: from February 2023

Technician in animal experimentation (CAMOB22-TR-GA-3)

You will join the Animal Models and Tissue Differentiation (MoDiT) team, which has 10 members, with expertise in molecular biology, genome editing and transgenesis, and studies mutations responsible for genetic abnormalities, in particular by creating mouse models. In addition, for 25% of your time, you will participate in the work of the Mammary Gland and Lactation team (GaLac), which will also be conducted in mice. You will benefit from the infrastructures of the GABI unit and the experimental facilities of the Jouy-en-Josas Center (animal experimentation, rodent animal house). Your activity will cover different projects. An important part of your work will take place in the rodent animal facility, in dedicated rooms, where you will perform cognitive and behavioral tests on mice of different lines. You will participate in the evaluation of the development and functionality of the central and peripheral nervous system in these rodents. You will also participate in the genetic analysis of these animals and other related studies. You will also carry out experiments (sampling, injections) in the framework of the GaLac team's work.

Engineer in biological experimentation and instrumentation (CAMOB22-IE-GA-4)

Do you want to become an actor in the research for tomorrow's animal productions? Organoids are a powerful system for studying and validating hypotheses in vitro. They are very complementary to live animal experimentation, in the spirit of the 3R principle (Replacement, Reduction, Refinement).

You will join the GeMS (Genetics, Microbiota, Health) team which studies the interactions between host genetic variations, gut microbiota and immunity, and their effects on health and robustness of pigs and chickens. Under the supervision of an RD, you will use organoids to study genetic variability and its interactions with environmental factors for health-related cellular physiological functions. You will perform cell culture protocols to produce, characterize, manipulate (genome editing) and store in cryobank intestine, liver and lung organoids from pig and chicken populations with different genetic backgrounds. You will participate in ongoing research and exchange groups and collaborations with other teams in the unit that will use organoids for other research purposes and develop complementary technologies. This work is conducted in connection with regional (SAPS), national (INRAE Organoid Working Group) and international (www.eurofaang.org) networks. In this global context, you will help to design and build new projects.

The laboratory has equipped cell culture rooms (L1, L2). The @Bridge platform of the UMR GABI offers advanced histology and microgenomics platforms. The new light sheet microscope of the MIMA2 platform is available for organoids. You will participate in animal sampling campaigns to produce organoids.

Biologist engineer in scientific platform CAMOB22-IR-GA-1)

The UMR GABI hosts a BRC in its integrative biology platform @BRIDGe (http://abridge.inrae.fr) with 10 permanent staff. This BRC hosts collections of blood, tissues, DNA with more than 130,000 samples from more than 50,000 animals for 9 livestock species. The BRCs for domestic animals at INRAE are grouped in the collective scientific infrastructure BRC-Anim, which extends nationally in a network bringing together the INRAE BRCs with animal BRCs of other institutions (CNRS, Veterinary Schools). This network has been supported by a Project Investissements d'Avenir (PIA) since 2013 (https://crb-anim.fr), and constitutes the 'animal' pillar of the national infrastructure of Agronomic Resources for Research (RARe, https://agrobrc-rare.org). The CRB-Anim network will take the form of a Scientific Interest Grouping (SIG) that will embody the animal pillar of RARe. CRB-Anim will keep its own scientific council and its groups of experts organized by species and animal sectors (ruminants, equids, pigs, rabbits, poultry, fish and molluscs, carnivores, bees).

You will be involved in the animation and management of biological resource centers (BRC) at different scales:
- you will lead the GIS 'CRB-Anim', in order to develop synergies between its members, to improve the characterization of collections, to extend the field of action in terms of range of species and types of samples;
- you will ensure that the BRC members of the 'animal' pillar feed the common data portal, accessible on the website https://crb-anim.fr/access-to-collection/# , and you will interact with the IT unit hosting the portal;
- you will represent the animal BRCs in the governance of RARe and train them to contribute to the events and productions of this infrastructure;
- you will animate the BRC of the @BRIDGe platform and will lead, with the support of a research engineer and an assistant-engineer, the platform in order to reinforce the synergies between its biobank, genomics, microgenomics and histology components.
