“Research is made up of a patchwork of talents. Now more than ten years ago, the Inra recognized its first laurels, highlighting singular profiles, with their 10 000 technicians, engineers and scientists, who work daily to improve our knowledge. Throughout 2016, the institute has been celebrating its 70th anniversary and at the same time it has been drawing the future of agricultural research with its new research orientations. This research will be creative and engaging, just like the laurels who were recognized this year, illustrating the diversity of our institute.”

Stéphane Le Foll, Minister of Agriculture, Paul Indelicato, Vice Director of the cabinet in charge of research representing Thierry Mandon, Philippe Mauguin, CEO, Olivier Le Gall, Managing Director of scientific affairs of the Inra, Claude Ronceray, Managing Director of support services of the Inra, and Axel Kahn, President of the ethics committee of the Inra-Cirad-Ifremer, awarded a trophy to each of the six laurels in recognition of their dedication and their results in the different fields of agricultural research.
