Workshop PREDICT Psay-CompBio

The workshop PREDICT Psay-CompBio

Several subjects were treated on the “Integration of heterogenous and high-throughput data for the identification of predictive biomarkers”.

A workshop organized by F. Jaffrézic, D. Laloë, P. Huan (GABI) and D. Gautheret (I2BC, Université Paris-Sud), was held on October 5 on the Jouy-en-Josas research center.

The workshop, supported by the PREDICT and Psay-CompBio projects, was focused on the “Integration of heterogenous and high-throughput data for the identification of predictive biomarkers”.

Approximately one-hundred participants from different horizons (doctors, biologists, bioinformatics specialists and statisticians) were present.

Several subjects were treated:

  • The challenges of heterogenous omics data analysis and the expectations of biologists towards these methods.
  • Methods for data integration and modeling, covering all the approaches: exploratory (AFM and Multiple Co-inertia), predictive (PLS, Lasso), deep learning, network integration.

At the end of the day, a working group was established to share their expertise and compare the different approaches for the identification of predictive biomarkers using heterogeneous and large-scale data analysis.
